Electrical Panel Upgrades
in Brookline, MA
We hold our own electrical licence. So when your heat pump needs a bigger panel, the same crew does both jobs — no second company, no second quote, no waiting on somebody else's schedule.

What It Is
Your electrical panel is the grey box in the basement with all the switches. It decides how much power the whole house can draw at once.
Most older homes around here are built around 100 amps. That was plenty when the house had a furnace, a stove and a few outlets. Add a heat pump, an electric car and a modern kitchen, and 100 amps runs out.
A panel upgrade swaps that box for a 200-amp one, which roughly doubles what the house can run at the same time. Nothing about your house looks different afterward. It just stops being the reason you can't add a heat pump.
One Crew, Both Jobs
Here's the part most people find out too late. A heat pump usually needs electrical work before it can go in — a new circuit, and often a bigger panel.
If your heating company doesn't do electrical, that's a second contractor, a second quote and a gap in the schedule while you wait for them. We do both. One company, one quote, one crew in your house.

When You Need One
Adding a heat pump. The most common reason. Heat pumps draw more than the furnace they replace.
Adding an EV charger. Car chargers are one of the biggest loads in a modern house. We don't install the charger, but we can make sure the panel can carry it.
Breakers tripping. If you're resetting the same breaker every winter, the panel is telling you something.
A fuse box, not a breaker panel. If you're still changing screw-in fuses, that panel is decades past its service life.
